The Secondary Market
A planned second phase: tokenised project shares that could be bought, sold and transferred before a project's funding term completes — turning a fixed-term position into a liquid one.
From a fixed position to a liquid one
Today, a demo investment in a MineStarter project is a fixed position — capital committed until the project's output is verified and returns are distributed. It works, but the position isn't accessible before then.
A secondary market would change that: each investor's project share would be represented as a transferable token, priced continuously. Rather than waiting for a project's full cycle, a holder could sell part of a position to another participant at a transparent, published price.
What stays the same
The gold itself, the project vetting, and the traceability record. What would change is who holds the claim, and how quickly it can change hands.
Project investment today vs. Secondary Market (Phase 2)
| Feature | Project Investment — Live Today | Secondary Market — Phase 2 Concept |
|---|---|---|
| Entry point | Any demo amount against a project's goal | Fractional, sub-project-size units |
| Liquidity | Held until the project's cycle completes | Continuous — sell part of a holding at any time |
| Pricing | Return realised at distribution | Continuous mark-to-market against a reference price |
| What you hold | A share of a specific, identified project | A transferable token backed by the same holding |
| Status | Live in sandbox | Concept — not offered |
How it would work
Five steps, from an existing position to a withdrawal. The sandbox below lets you click through the sequence with simulated numbers.
Hold a Position
Start from an existing demo project investment.
Tokenise
The position converts to a transferable unit.
List for Sale
Offer a fraction of the position at a reference price.
Match & Settle
A counterparty buys in; the ledger record updates.
Withdraw
Proceeds reflect in the Dashboard, or reinvest.
Secondary Market sandbox
A simulated walkthrough with fixed demo numbers. Nothing here touches your real Investor Dashboard.
What has to be resolved first
Project vetting & ESG audit framework
Already governs the live Marketplace and underpins any future secondary trading of the same underlying projects.
Transferable token classification
The single item that determines whether this phase can proceed at all. A transferable, tradable project-share token has not been classified under this model's compliance framework.
This entire page — including the sandbox above — is a concept illustration. See Roadmap for how this phase relates to the rest of the platform.
